Wine, Cheese And Trees: Fundraiser Held Virtually For Second Year
Wine lovers, the opportunity for a virtual tasting is here. People who sign up will choose three bottles for pickup at Geneva Wine Cellar.
GENEVA, IL — Wine, Cheese and Trees, an 11-year-old fundraiser whose mission is to raise money to plant trees, will take place virtually for the second year.
A joint venture between the Natural Resources Committee of Geneva and the Geneva Park District Foundation, the event will take place on Zoom from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 26.
Lovers of wine or people who might want to better familiarize themselves with the drink will have an opportunity to indulge in three varieties and blends. For $100 per ticket, eventgoers will receive three bottles of select wine — one white, two red. Bottles can be picked up at the Geneva Wine Cellar, 227 S. Third St., a week prior to the tasting.
