Sitting at 16-6, the Shells are chasing a 20-win season and a regional title. Their coach and players say staying healthy and focused through a tough late-season schedule is key. 
• Freida Malloy (riverbender.com) — Gillespie residents are invited to honor longtime waitress and cook Freida Malloy at visitation and memorial services this Saturday morning at Kravanya Funeral Home in town. Freida worked at several local eateries and Gillespie High School, and memorials are suggested to the Gillespie Public Library, Benld Library, or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
