• Richard Winnett (riverbender.com) — A longtime attorney with early roots on Park Avenue in Gillespie has passed away at age 73. Richard Dan Winnett, who was born in Litchfield and first brought home to Gillespie as an infant, went on to a distinguished legal career and is remembered by his wife, son, grandchildren, brothers, and many extended family and friends.
