Police ID Glendale Heights Woman Found Shot Dead in Townhome: UPDATE

The "person of interest" has not been charged.

An investigation is underway in Glendale Heights after a 49-year-old woman was found shot to death in a Glendale Heights townhome Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the townhome in the 1100 block of Harbor Court in Glendale Heights at about 11:45 a.m. for a report of two people who were dead inside the residence, according to authorities.

When police arrived, they found Tina Stevanovic, 49, with multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her husband, Darko Radonjic, 48, was found alive but unconscious inside the home and was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment, according to a news release.

Radonjic has not regained consciousness and is currently in police custody “pending further investigation” and while he receives medical care. The cause of Radonjic’s current medical condition is not known, police said.

Both Radonjic and Stevanovic lived in the townhome and police did not find any other people inside the residence when they responded. There was also no sign of forced entry to the townhome.

Radonjic has not been criminally charged. The shooting remains under investigation by the Glendale Heights Police Department, DuPage County Coroner’s Office and the DuPage County Major Crimes Task Force.

The police department is not seeking anyone else in connection with the woman’s death and does not believe there is any risk to the safety of the community.
