3 Glen Ellyn Students Named National Merit Semifinalists
See which Glen Ellyn students were named 2024 semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Three students from Glen Ellyn were recently named 2024 semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
The students are:
- Annika Bhagwakar
- Ishaan Gupta
- James MacDonald
The students were among 16,000 semifinalists named in the annual program. They can now compete to receive a National Merit Scholarship from among $28 million in awards that the program will grant to exceptional students.

To qualify for a scholarship, the students must complete an application, and submit their academic and extracurricular information, a letter of recommendation and an essay.
Finalists will be announced in February.
