$4.5M Project Approved To Repair Streets In Glen Ellyn
Village officials approved the project at their May 22 meeting.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn trustees recently approved a $4.5 million project that would resurface streets throughout the village.
The 2023 Utility and Roadway Improvements project aims to repair and resurface nearly seven miles of roadways in the village's residential districts.
The work will be funded in part by Glen Ellyn's Capital Projects budget, its Water and Sanitary Sewer account and a $500,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. State Rep. Terra Costa Howard, who helped make the grant possible, said in a statement, "This investment in Glen Ellyn's roadway infrastructure will make our village more accessible. I'm very pleased that I was able to work with the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to secure these necessary state funds."
