4 Homes Burglarized As Glen Ellyn, Wheaton Residents Slept

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Police in Glen Ellyn and Wheaton are investigating four home burglaries that took place while residents slept early Monday. Most of the burglaries took place between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., according to a news release from Glen Ellyn Police Department Deputy Chief Kurt Vavra.

The three Glen Ellyn burglaries were reported near the intersection of Western Avenue and Anthony Street. Police say the Wheaton burglary took place near the intersection of Forest and Stoddard Avenues.

Police are asking residents with security cameras to check their footage during this time for any suspicious activity. Residents are also urged to keep their homes locked, even when they are present.
