4 Vehicle Burglaries Reported On The Same Block In Glen Ellyn

Police say the burglaries all took place within a block of each other.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Police are looking for a suspect or suspects who burglarized four separate cars within hours of one another in Glen Ellyn. According to a police summary, the burglaries were committed between the late evening on Dec. 4 and the early morning on Dec. 5. Each of the incidents took place within walking distance of the others. In each instance, the residents' vehicles had been left unlocked.

The first reported burglary happened in the 0-100 block of Grove. The victim told police someone had rifled through the center console of their car and removed a bottle of prescription medication and a pair of sunglasses.

Police say another burglary was reported in the 0-100 block of Grove. In this incident, a pair of sunglasses, $6 in cash, and $10 in coins were reportedly missing.

Two more burglaries took place minutes away in the 0-100 block of Spring Ave. In both of these cases, the vehicle owners told police that a person or persons had entered their vehicle and rummaged through its contents, but nothing had been taken.
