GLEN ELLYN, IL — Residents came out in brightly colored costumes and carried their personally decorated paper lanterns to raise thousands of dollars during the Glow in the Park Lantern Walk on Sept. 10. The event raised $5,000 to benefit the neonatal intensive care unit at Lurie Children's Hospital.

The walk was held at Lake Ellyn Park, with live music setting the stage as participants crafted their unique lanterns with kits onsite. The festivities also included an inflatable slide, face painting and other family-friendly activities.
