Air Quality Alert Closes Sunset Pool, Maryknoll Splash Park, More
With the air quality labeled "very unhealthy" due to Canada's wildfires, several cancellations and closures are in effect in Glen Ellyn.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Sunset Pool and nearby amenities were closed Wednesday as the air quality in Glen Ellyn remained "very unhealthy" due to smoke from the wildfires raging in Canada.
The pool's scheduled aquatics programs were also canceled due to the air quality. Maryknoll Splash Park was also closed Wednesday, in addition to the Holes & Knolls miniature golf course.
The park district's programs that were not canceled were moved indoors as a safety precaution. Participants were encouraged to check their emails for cancellation information or visit the park district rainout line.
