GLEN ELLYN, IL — During Monday afternoon's severe storm, a tornado may have touched down in Glen Ellyn, according to NBC 5.
The tornado weather darkened skies throughout Chicagoland Monday around 1 p.m., leaving fallen trees, damaged property and downed limbs and power lines.
As of early Tuesday, National Weather Service is surveying the area surrounding Glen Ellyn and Orland Park In nearby Wheaton, crews were still working to clear storm debris.
The severe weather also caused hazardous flooding. In Downers Grove, two workers became trapped in a storm sewer midday Monday.
As of Tuesday, one person had been rescued and was in good condition. The rescue search for the remaining worker was shifted to a recovery search amid risky water conditions.
