Glen Crest Middle School 7th grade girls’ volleyball team won the DuPage Metro Valley Conference in the their division. “The Spartan girls had a phenomenal season,” stated their coach, Meghan Riley, Literacy teacher at the middle school. Her assistant coach, Danny Sheridan was excited to have the opportunity to coach such a talented group of players. The team posted a record of 13 and 1. Along the way they did play some nail biting volleyball. When playing Westlake Middle School, the team won 25-15 and 34-32.
A similar experience was the Herrick Middle School game when the Spartans won 25-11 and 32-30. Members of the team are Kennedy Galuza, Katie Long, Erica Edwards, Jenny Mitcheff, Stephanie Smith, Sophia Gallo, Ally Daca, Kate Mora, Tracy Conn, Ashley Dodge, Sarah Cohen, Bailee Flanagan, Mady Carli, and Grace Buckley. Team managers are Lauren Kate and Sarah Nardella.
