Armed Robbery Reported In Glen Ellyn: Cops

The victim told police that a man "pointed a gun at his face" before stealing his belongings.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Police in Glen Ellyn are investigating an armed robbery in which a suspect reportedly pointed a gun at a man's face before taking his possessions. The incident took place on July 30 just after 2 a.m., according to a police summary.

The victim told police he was walking in the 300 block of Roosevelt when a male in his mid-20s approached him. The suspect then aimed a handgun at the victim's face, police say, before taking the man's wallet and cellphone, then fleeing.
