More Than 60 Artists Come To Lake Ellyn For 54th Festival Of The Arts
This weekend brings the 54th Annual Festival of the Arts to Glen Ellyn. Visitors can admire art, make a tie dye shirt, eat gelato and more.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — More than 60 artists will display their original works for the 54th Festival of the Arts in Glen Ellyn. This juried fine arts event is slated for Aug. 26 and Aug. 27 at Lake Ellyn Park and focuses on fiber arts and folk music for 2023.
Visitors can browse and buy inventive paintings, artisanal pottery, handmade jewelry, fiber arts and other original creations between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Artists will also share works in yarn, metal, wood, photography and other media. Visitors will also have the opportunity to make their own tie dye shirt under the guidance of a tie dye artist!

Live folk tunes and other musical performances will set the stage for this family-friendly weekend. The music kicks off at 11 a.m and the schedule and features guitarist Fareed Haque performing with Wanees Zarour and Goran Ivanovic, Lucy Dallman’s Folk Band, Luciano Antonio and Crazy for Patsy.
Attendees can snack on items in the festival's food area and cool off with Italian soda and gelato at the event's gelato garden.

It's anticipated that "thousands of visitors" will attend the event, according to an update from the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn, which will mark its third year hosting the festival.
