B.R. Ryall YMCA is recruiting for Teen Advisory Board

The B.R. Ryall YMCA is partnering with the Alive Center to bring their Teen-Led, Teen-Driven™ peer model after-school program to the Glen Ellyn community. The Alive Center's strategies, procedures, and methods are proven to address 12 of the 15 stated protective factors of the Youth Mental Health First Aid USA Training Manual, intervening on mental health issues before they develop.

The Y is currently recruiting high school students to join their Teen Advisory Board. This unique program provides leadership development and the opportunity to support other teens and the community. The YMCA’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a working board and leadership program for high school students. Members will work on committees to plan and execute programs and events for the Y’s new teen program. The new teen program for 6th-12th graders will include after-school drop-in hours, tutoring, mentoring, events, and interest-specific clubs. All applicants will be interviewed for acceptance.
