Backyard BBQ Returns With New Location For 2023

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The smell of barbecued meats will draw visitors to the 2023 Backyard BBQ, which will be held in a new location when it returns to Glen Ellyn on Sept. 9. This year marks the 15th annual Backyard BBQ, bringing live music, aspiring pit masters and other festivities to the Duane-Lorraine Metra lot downtown.

Live music will be performed by Libido Funk, Panic at the Costco, Mary Macaroni and EP8.

A dedicate Piglet Playground will give kids a place to play during the event. Grownups 21 and older can indulge in hard seltzers, wine and beer.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Bridge Communities, which helps provide shelter for unhoused people in and around Glen Ellyn.
