Serial Robber Strikes Bank In Glen Ellyn: FBI

Federal officials say the suspect is tied to two other bank robberies.

GLEN ELLYN, IL —A suspect who recently robbed two other banks allegedly struck a bank in Glen Ellyn Tuesday afternoon, FBI officials say. The robbery took place at Fifth Third Bank at 704 Roosevelt Rd. at approximately 1:19 p.m.

Police say the suspect is the same individual who robbed a Fifth Third Bank in Aurora on Nov. 21 and a PNC bank in Naperville on Dec. 7.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s or 40s, standing between 6'0" and 6'2" tall. He was last seen wearing a a dark blue winter coat, black gloves, black sunglasses, and a black hat. He was also carrying a black messenger bag.

FBI officials say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
