The McAninch Arts Center (MAC) hosts stars from London’s West End when The Barricade Boys take the stage at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18. The four award-winning vocalists, all “Les Misérables” alumni, perform a wonderfully entertaining music mix ranging from pop to opera. Broadway World calls The Barricade Boys, “One of the slickest, most professional, best put-together concerts seen on either side of The Atlantic;" and BritishTheatre.com says, “You could hardly do better than to spend a couple of hours in the company of these fine entertainers.”

The program includes selections from popular musicals including “Phantom of the Opera,” “Miss Saigon,” “Jersey Boys” and, of course, “Les Misérables,” as well as hits by Queen, Elton John and The Beatles. Throughout the show the group will share stories of performing in the West End and the friendship they have developed over time.

The Barricade Boys was formed when “Les Misérables” alumni Scott Garnham, Kieran Brown, Craig Mather and Simon Schofield set out to create an audience experience that favored musical songs blended beloved pop, rock and swing numbers. The Barricade Boys collectively boast an impressive list of West End credits, including “Mamma Mia!”, “Wicked,” “Billy Elliot,” “The Book of Mormon,” “The Sound of Music,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Phantom of the Opera.”
