Bike-Riding Bank Robber Sought In Glendale Heights: Cops

Police say the bank robber fled on a bicycle after stealing an undetermined amount of cash.

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL — Area police are looking for a man who robbed a TCF bank in Glendale Heights early Wednesday. The robbery took place at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the TCF branch located at 2164 Bloomingdale Road.

According to police, the man went up to a bank teller and demanded cash. The teller gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and he fled north on a bicycle, police say.

Law enforcement officials believe the suspect is linked to another TCF Bank robbery that took place on March 6 in Schaumburg. He is described as a white male around 40 years of age, between 5'9" and 6'0" tall. He was last seen wearing a pattered green hooded sweatshirt or jacket that had black trim, blue jeans, and dark shoes with white soles.

Glendale Heights Police are working with the FBI's Chicago Division on the ongoing investigation.
