Blood Drives Scheduled At Ackerman Sports And Fitness Center

GLEN ELLYN, IL — With a number of blood drives canceled throughout the country due to the coronavirus shutdown, the need for blood donations is as urgent as ever. To help with this effort, two blood drives by Versiti Blood Centers of Illinois are set to take place at Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center on May 7 and May 14.

To donate blood, residents must first make an appointment. Donation times are from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on both dates. Click the link to sign up to donate May 7 or click the link to sign up to donate May 14.

To help ensure social distancing, no walk-in blood donations will be taken, organizers said.
