Burglar Found Inside Taco Bell/KFC In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL -- Employees at a Taco Bell/KFC store in Glen Ellyn opened the restaurant early Friday to discover a female burglar inside. Police say the woman fled the scene shortly after employees came into the restaurant, which is located at 370 Roosevelt Rd.

Employees told police that they got to the business at approximately 8:30 a.m. and found an "unknown woman" inside, Glen Ellyn Police Department Deputy Chief Kurt Vavra said in a press release. Staff at the restaurant then left the building and called police to report the burglary.

When Glen Ellyn police got to the scene, they searched the restaurant and the surrounding area, but were unable to locate the woman in question. Police say no one was injured in the incident. At press time it was not known whether anything was taken during the burglary.
