On Saturday, November 7, 2026, hundreds of DuPage County residents will give up the comfort of their own beds for a night in tents, boxes, and cars. They're taking part in Sleep Out Saturday, an overnight experience that raises critical funds for families in Bridge Communities' transitional housing program.
Now in its 23rd year, Sleep Out Saturday brings families, friends, community groups, and businesses together for one cold November night. Participants gain a firsthand glimpse of what family homelessness can feel like, and every dollar they raise helps change the lives of families working toward a stable future.
The evening kicks off with an outdoor rally from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lakeside Pavilion on the College of DuPage campus, a longtime Sleep Out Saturday partner. The rally is open to participants and the public. It will feature live music from School of Rock Glen Ellyn, the inspiring story of a Bridge graduate, games, food, and giveaways. Then participants will settle in for a night under the stars.
