Car Stolen During House Burglary In Glen Ellyn: Cops
Police say the stolen car was later found in Chicago.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn police are investigating a burglary in which a suspect or suspects stole a purse, cash, and a 2006 Ford Freestyle. The burglary was reported in the 100 block of Newton on Aug. 23.
The victim told police that someone entered their home between 11 p.m. on Aug. 22 and 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 23. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a purse, five credit cards, cash, and two sets of car keys. They then used the keys to remove the victim's Ford Freestyle from their garage.
Police say three of the five stolen credit cards were later used to make fraudulent purchases at gas stations in the surrounding area. The stolen Ford Freestyle was later found in Chicago, according to police.
