Carbon Monoxide Poisoning to Blame for Death of Man, Woman in Glendale Heights

James and Kathryn McMahon were found dead inside a Glendale Heights home Wednesday evening.

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL - Carbon monoxide poisoning likely caused the deaths of a man and woman who were found dead in their home in Glendale Heights Wednesday evening, police said Friday.

Officers and paramedics found James and Kathryn McMahon in a residence in the 0 to 100 block of Blue Ridge in Glendale Heights at about 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, according to a Glendale Heights Police Department press release. Police did not say how James and Kathryn were related.

The Glendale Heights Police Department is continuing to investigate the death in conjunction with The DuPage County Coroner’s Office. Police said they are confident there is no risk to the safety of the community and no suspects are being sought in connection with the deaths.
