Chicago Woman Dies Following Incident at Lombard Gun Range

LOMBARD, IL - A 24-year-old Chicago woman died following an incident at a gun range in Lombard last week, according to the DuPage County Coroner's Office.

Caitlin McAtee died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove on Thursday following the incident on Wednesday at Article II Gun Range, 250 Cortland Ave. in Lombard, according to the coroner's office press release.

There is no evidence of foul play. Lombard Police Chief Ray Byrne told the Daily Herald the woman died of an apparent suicide.

The death remains under investigation by the DuPage County Coroner’s Office and the Lombard Police Department.
