Eron McCormick is the Principal Owner of The McCormick Law Firm, LLC, where he focuses on real estate law, estate planning, and business and transactional matters. Since founding his practice in 2014, Eron has built a reputation for helping clients navigate some of life’s most important decisions with clarity and confidence. Whether assisting with the purchase or sale of a home, structuring a business, or planning for the future, he takes a practical, client-centered approach that emphasizes clear communication and informed decision-making. Eron graduated cum laude from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2014, where he served as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical and Practical Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University, with a minor in Communications. During his time there, he served as Student Government President, competed on the Model Illinois Government Moot Court Team, and was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. Licensed in Illinois since 2014 and Wisconsin since 2022, Eron also represents clients with cross-border real estate matters, particularly those selling and purchasing property in Wisconsin. He is admitted to practice before the Illinois Northern District Bankruptcy Court and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Illinois State Bar Association, Wisconsin State Bar Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, and DuPage County Bar Association. Eron and his team are committed to giving back to the community, offering discounts to first responders, veterans, and military families. He was recognized as an Elite Lawyer in 2025. The IKEA Family Kite Festival Soars Back for Its 39th Year at Veterans Park
Milwaukee, WI — Gift of Wings is thrilled to announce that the IKEA Family Kite Festival is returning to Milwaukee’s lakefront for the 39th consecutive year. Spring is finally here — it’s time to GO FLY A KITE!
On Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, 2026, join us at beautiful Veterans Park (1010 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive) for two days of spectacular kite flying, family fun, and breathtaking aerial displays. The festival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

 <li>Local favorites include Milwaukee’s own Mike Delfar, Paul Koepke, and Wow Pro-Style.</li>
 <li>Jean Lemire from Montreal will attempt the challenging feat of flying three dual-line stunt kites simultaneously.</li>
 <li>James Almas from Vancouver, the only person in the world known to fly four stunt kites at once, will showcase his incredible skill.</li>
</ul>
Free kite-flying lessons will be available throughout the weekend from the Kite Whisperers, including Jim Cosca.
Fun for the Kids
Kids won’t want to miss the Kids Mad Dash! The first 100 children to sign up and participate will receive a free kite, followed by the exciting sight of 100 kites launching into the sky at once.
Gift of Wings will have a wide selection of kites for sale, along with food and refreshments on site.

The IKEA Family Kite Festival — Celebrating America and presented by IKEA — is completely FREE to attend, with plenty of free parking available.
The event is hosted by Gift of Wings in partnership with the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois.

Kitties, Canines, and Cruisers is a one-of-a-kind collaborative animal welfare event bringing together rescues, shelters, businesses, riders, volunteers, and animal lovers from across the Chicagoland area for a full day of fundraising, community engagement, and lifesaving impact. Benefiting local animal rescue organizations, the event’s ambitious goal is to help facilitate 100 pet adoptions in a single day while raising awareness and support for homeless animals throughout the region. We are proud to have Petco Love as our Presenting Sponsor for this year’s event.
The day begins with the Motorcycle Rescue Rally from 9:00am–1:00pm. Riders will travel throughout the western suburbs visiting participating Rally Stops featuring local businesses, activities, giveaways, raffle opportunities, food and drink specials, photo ops, and community engagement opportunities — all while supporting Chicagoland animal rescues and shelters. Attendees can meet adoptable dogs and cats, shop local vendors, participate in raffles and activities, learn about local rescue efforts, and support organizations dedicated to improving animal welfare throughout the Chicagoland area.
Whether you ride, adopt, volunteer, sponsor, or simply attend, Kitties, Canines, and Cruisers offers a unique opportunity to support local animals while enjoying a fun, family-friendly community event.
