Chris Farley's Brother To Speak On Addiction At Glenbard Parent Series
Dr. Timothy Fong will hold a panel discussion with Tom Farley on his book, "Growing Up With Chris Farley: A Story of Addiction, Love."

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Tom Farley, brother of late actor Chris Farley, will take part in a panel discussion on addiction for the next installment of the Glenbard Parent Series, set for Nov. 30. Farley will be joined by Dr. Timothy W. Fong for a hybrid talk on the former's book, "Growing Up With Chris Farley: A Story of Addiction, Love."
Farley will discuss his relationship with his brother and the role Chris Farley's addiction played in their lives. He and Fong, a Glenbard West High School alumnus, will also touch on what friends and family members can do to help loved ones who are struggling with substance use disorder.
Chris Farley died of an accidental overdose in December of 1997 after battling addiction.

Fong currently works as Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA's Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. He also heads up the university's Cannabis Research Initiative.
Prior to the panel discussion, there will be a resource fair that starts at 6:30 p.m. Those who attend can get educational information and enter raffles for a chance to win prizes.
