Church Burglaries Under Investigation Near Lombard
Police say the suspect looked at the surveillance camera before removing it.

LOMBARD, IL — The DuPage County Sheriff's Department is investigating two burglaries that targeted at a church in the Lombard area. Police say a man forced entry into the Divine Mercy Polish Mission Church at 21W410 Sunset Ave. on April 13 and stole cash donations and a computer system.
According to police, surveillance footage shows the man trying to gain entry to the church and then turning to the security camera and removing it. Police say another burglary attempt was made on April 8, but was unsuccessful.
