Clerk Refuses Fake Bill; Suspect Presents Another One: Cops

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn Police say a suspect presented what appeared to be a fake $100 bill for payment and then presented a fake $50 bill when the cashier refused the first bill. The incident took place at Jewel-Osco, located at 599 Roosevelt Rd.

According to police, one suspect paid with a counterfeit $100 bill before the second suspect tried to present a fake $100 bill as well. The clerk did not accept the bill, so the second suspect then paid with two bills, one of which was a counterfeit $50 bill.
