COD Accepting Nominations for 2020 Adade Wheeler

The College of DuPage Women's Studies Committee is accepting nominations for the 2020 Adade Wheeler Woman of Distinction Award.

Named for former COD History Professor Adade Wheeler, the award has been given annually since 1983 to individuals who have made significant contributions to the personal and professional advancement of women through education, advocacy and/or mentoring.

Nominees must reside, work or volunteer within Community College District 502. Those submitting names must write a short essay discussing how their nominee meets the award's criteria and include a list of achievements. Priority is placed on activities that are beyond the scope of the workplace.

Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19. Award winners receive a $500 prize. Download nomination form.
