COD Named a Gilman Program 25th Anniversary Top Producing Institution
COD ranked first nationally in community colleges for sending students abroad in the academic year 2023-2024.

College of DuPage has been recognized by the U.S. Department of State as a top producer of Gilman Scholars, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program.
The Gilman Scholarship provides merit-based awards to undergraduate students with high financial need, enabling them to study or intern abroad for academic credit—opportunities that can be transformative for students who may not otherwise have access to international experiences.
Since the program’s inception, COD has produced 34 Gilman Scholars, placing the College among the top associate degree-granting institutions in the nation.
