COD Police Department Offers Free Safety Courses in November

Courses are free and open to the public.

Learn skills in crisis management and to protect yourself from fraud through courses offered in November by the College of DuPage Police Department on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Courses are free and open to the public. Registration is required.

“Situational Awareness,” presented from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 3, emphasizes strategies for developing an awareness of your surroundings. COD Police will discuss in-depth specific ways to prepare ourselves for the possibility of danger.

“Save Your Stash: Fraud Prevention and Awareness,” presented from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Nov 17. Participants will explore various fraud schemes and ways to deal with fraud victimization.

"Arming yourself with information is a key step to successfully navigating a crisis,” said COD Police Chief Joe Mullin. “The College of DuPage Police Department is proud to offer these resources, providing participants valuable information they can apply to many different situations."
