COD Police Department Offers Free Safety Courses this Spring
Learn skills in crisis management and how to protect yourself from fraud.

Learn skills in crisis management and to protect yourself from fraud through courses offered in February and April by the College of DuPage Police Department on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
Courses are free and open to the public. Registration is required.
“Active Violence Preparedness,” presented from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 24, in the Homeland Security and Education Center (HEC) Room 1005/1009, emphasizes strategies for developing an awareness of your surroundings. COD Police will discuss the fundamentals of informed decision-making in threatening situations.

“Stop the Bleed/Narcan,” presented from 3 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 24, in the Berg Instructional Center (BIC) Room 1425, provides an overview of best practices in emergency situations where uncontrollable bleeding occurs. Participants will also learn how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone (Narcan).[DJ1]
