COD Supports Homelessness Awareness at Sleep Out Saturday Event

Faculty, students and COD community members gathered to raise awareness of the plight of homelessness as part of the Nov. 5 event.

Faculty, students and College of DuPage community members gathered to raise awareness of the plight of homelessness as part of the Nov. 5 Sleep Out Saturday rally at the Glen Ellyn campus. The event helped support Bridge Communities' programs, from transitional housing and children's services to mentoring and career preparation. The evening’s program included a welcome message from COD President Dr. Brian Caputo and a presentation by Bridge program graduates. Guests enjoyed soup and fresh bread prepared by COD Culinary Arts students before leaving campus to sleep in their vehicles and tents at neighboring locations.
