College Of DuPage To Commemorate September 11 With Remembrance Ceremony

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Residents are invited to attend this year's September 11 Remembrance Ceremony at College of DuPage's Robert J. Miller Homeland Security Education Center. The center is home to a 1,000-pound steel beam from the World Trade Center.

The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will include remarks from College of DuPage President Dr. Muddassir Siddiq. Also scheduled to speak are the heads of the school's Homeland Security Training Institute (HSTI) Program, Suburban Law Enforcement Academy and Emergency Management Services/Fire Science Program.

As bagpipe music plays, recruits from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy will conduct a procession and presentation of the colors.
