College of DuPage Presidential Search Committee Appointed

College of DuPage has announced the appointment of 16 DuPage County and area residents to serve on its presidential search committee.

Committee members include representatives of the business, legal, financial, government, and education communities in District 502. COD Board of Trustees Chairman Katharine Hamilton and COD Secretary Frank Napolitano selected the committee members after initiating the presidential search process at the August 20 board meeting.

Hamilton chairs the volunteer committee, which includes a non-voting student representative. The committee will screen applicants and present the COD Board of Trustees with a group of finalists. COD’s Trustees will make the final selection of the next president.

Their personal commitment will help us attract presidential candidates of the highest caliber, because candidates care about community support. These individuals show unparalleled support for COD at this crucial time in its history,” Hamilton said. “The leader we seek will restore trust, uphold standards and encourage new heights of academic achievement. She or he will ceaselessly advance the interests of our students, faculty and taxpayers.”
