Complaints Abound as District 41 School Busses Miss Stops, Show Up Late on First Day of School
School district officials are now working with First Student, which provides busing services for the district, to correct the issues.

GLEN ELLYN, IL - It wasn’t the smoothest first day back to school for some Glen Ellyn School District 41 students and parents.
The main complaints from parents centered Monday on the district’s new bus provider, First Student, after busses missed some stops and showed up late, according to the Daily Herald. First Student, which bused District 41 students under different ownership less than a decade ago, was awarded a $2.2 million three-year contract back in April to provide busing services for the district.
The school district is now working with the bus company to correct the issues. District 41 officials apologized to parents in a post on its Facebook page on Monday.

Glenbard District 87 also uses First Student for its bus services and Glenbard spokeswoman Peg Mannion told the Daily Herald adjustments still need to be made.
“We saw a big improvement with most of the 67 busess being on time today,” Mannion said Tuesday.
