Customer-Only Parking Hours Extended In Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Shoppers in Glen Ellyn's business district will now be able to park along the streets for a longer period of time, now that the village has extended its consumer-only parking hours. The change was made after Glen Ellyn officials received feedback from residents who suggested there should be more parking options in the central business district, specifically in the evening and on weekends.

As a result, village officials changed the parking ordinance, which previously permitted customer-only parking on Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The newly amended ordinance permits customer parking in the business district seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Village officials say signs will be posted throughout the affected area to inform shoppers of the extended parking hours.
