Discover Local Educator Resources Aug. 30 with COD, Morton Arboretum

Explore resources, workshops, experiences and more for grade K through 12 educators Aug. 30, through a partnership between College of DuPage and The Morton Arboretum.

The Educator Open House will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the Arboretum’s Thornhill Education Center.

The event is free for K-12 educators, but pre-registration is required. Capacity is limited to 150 participants. Learn more about the Educator Open House and register.

“The College is excited to partner with The Morton Arboretum to offer a one-stop-shop for local teachers where they can learn about experiences, workshops and resources available to them and their classroom from organizations across DuPage County,” said Sara Spaniol, COD’s STEM Outreach Coordinator.

Participating organizations include DuPage Children’s Museum, The Jurica-Suchy Nature Museum at Benedictine University, Naperville Astronomical Association, TechGirlz, DuPage County Farm Bureau and more.

College of DuPage is institutionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Serving approximately 21,000 students each term, College of DuPage is the largest public community college in the state of Illinois. The College grants seven associate degrees and offers more than 170 career and technical certificates in over 50 areas of study.
