Donation Jar Stolen from Oberweis / Public Intoxication / Drug Arrests: Blotter

Here is a look at recent arrest reports in Glen Ellyn:
- Glen Ellyn Police arrested Raymond T. Burke, 46, of 126 E. Wing Street in Arlington Heights, at 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 29 for driving while license suspended, operating uninsured motor vehicle, speeding and an in-state warrant.
- Denote D. Pratt, 19, 1121 Cedar Street in Glendale Heights, was arrested at 8:08 p.m. on Nov. 30 at Ackerman Park, 800 St. Charles, for possession of marijuana 30 grams and under.
- Jurgen Joel Velazquez, 20, of 568 Pershing Avenue in Glen Ellyn, was arrested at 8:34 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Newton Park, 719 Fairview, for possession of marijuana of 30 grams and under. Velazquez was again arrested at 11:42 a.m. on Dec. 2 at Willis and Lee for possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication and unlawful possession of controlled substance.
- Rae A. Aesbias, 19, of 11 Briar Street in Glen Ellyn, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Briar and Brighton for possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and illegal possession of an alcoholic liquor.
- Police received a report of an unknown person who stole a donation jar from the register counter at Oberweis, 515 Roosevelt Road, at 10:34 a.m. on Nov. 16. The offender is described as a black male who was wearing a white knit hat, black jacket, khaki pants and carrying a large khaki backpack. A Samsung Galaxy S7 was stolen from an inside bathroom stall at the Glen Ellyn Public Library, 400 Dane, at 5 p.m. on Nov. 20. The library staff was unable to locate the phone.
- A complainant reported $708 missing from the safe at the Dollar Tree, 563 Roosevelt Road, between 9:49 p.m. on Nov. 28 and 2:23 a.m.on Nov. 29.
- A person kicked in the front and rear passenger side doors of a parked vehicle in the 0 to 100 block of Briar between 10 p.m. on Nov. 30 and 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 1.
- An unknown person damaged the driver’s side of a vent window of a vehicle parked in the lot of 563 Roosevelt Road between 3:20 and 5 p.m. on Dec. 1. The person was attempting to gain access to the vehicle. Entry to the vehicle was not successful.
- An unknown person caused damage to vehicle in the 100 block of Surrey Drive between 8:30 p.m.on Dec. 3 and 1 p.m. on Dec.4. Criminals spray-painted the passenger side of a vehicle, flattened two tires and put push pins into the sides of two other tires.
- An unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle in a parking stall and removed a wallet from a vehicle in the 800 block of Chancel Circle between 1 and 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 4.The wallet is described as a tan, leather men’s wallet. Also missing is an Illinois driver’s license and $40 currency.
