Donations Sought For Food, Blood Drive At Ackerman SFC
Ackerman SFC will host a food and blood drive on Oct. 20.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Residents are encouraged to make donations at a food and blood drive slated for Oct. 20 at Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center in Glen Ellyn.
Food donations will benefit Glen Ellyn Food Pantry. Those making donations can drop their items off at the main entrance of Ackerman SFC. Currently, the pantry needs the following priority items:
- Boxed pasta
- Canned chicken noodle soup
- Canned pineapples and peaches
- Canned Sloppy Joe and chili
- Canned tomato products
- Cookies
- Crackers
- Granola bars
- Jarred pasta sauce
- Oatmeal
- Soft drinks
The blood drive will be held by Versiti Blood Center. Donors will get a free sticker and a Versiti bottle koozie. Click the link to make a blood donation appointment.
