Downtown Parking Options Workshop To Be Held In Glen Ellyn

Residents are invited to discuss future downtown parking options with the Glen Ellyn Village Board on Dec. 18.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Village Board is moving one step closer to making changes to its downtown parking, an issue that has come up in the past. Residents are invited to attend a public meeting on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. to weigh in on downtown parking options, locations, and funding. The meeting, which is open to all Glen Ellyn residents, will be held in room 301 of the Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 535 Duane St.

The idea of building new parking structures downtown isn't new to Glen Ellyn, the concept is getting more attention due to recent business developments in the village. The Village Board said in a newsletter that it is interested in hearing what residents have to say about various methods to increase parking in downtown Glen Ellyn and make things easier for residents and visitors alike.

Village officials said in a newsletter that the Downtown Parking Options meeting agenda will be posted on the Glen Ellyn village website by Dec. 14.
