Drive-Thru Voter Registration Assistance Planned At COD

Lisle Trustee Sara Sadat and the College of DuPage's political science department are hosting the Aug. 2 event.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Lisle Trustee Sara Sadat is joining forces with College of DuPage's political science department to host a drive-thru voter registration event.

The event will be held on Aug. 2 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in College DuPage's College 6 parking lot on the southwest corner of College and Lambert Roads.

  • Registering to vote
  • Changing their voting address
  • Getting vote by mail forms
  • Completing census forms

Sadat told Patch volunteers will answer questions and walk residents through the entire voter registration process from start to finish. Spanish, Polish and Indian language translators will be at the event, Sadat said.

Sadat added that the event will also be an outreach for minorities and other "underrepresented communities."

She said, "The best way that we can [make change] is by actually voting and making sure we get the chance to represent our voices.”

Sadat added, “At the end of the day, the thing is to be counted and vote.”
