DuPage Co. Officer Rescues Injured Duck
The duck has been handed over to DuPage County Animal Control and will be treated for her injuries.

A DuPage County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded Thursday to a call from a resident in unincorporated DuPage County regarding an injured duck at a home.
Deputy Matranga met with the resident who expressed concern over the injured duck, according to a DuPage County Sheriffs Office press release.
Matranga rescued the injured duck and handed it over to DuPage County Animal Control where the duck will be treated for her injuries and eventually released back into her environment, according to the news release.

“Sometimes it’s the smaller things that are important to the citizens of DuPage County and the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office understands those concerns and is always willing to help,” said Sheriff John Zaruba.
