DuPage County Men Charged With Mailing 19 Pounds of Cannabis
The pot was allegedly in the mail for two men, DuPage County Sheriff says.

Two men were arrested Monday evening on felony drug charges after the United States Postal Service intercepted a package containing over 19 pounds of cannabis.
Mark A. Sudds, 20, of Lombard, was charged with unlawful delivery of cannabis, a Class X felony.

His alleged accomplice, Michael Grassman, 26, of Carol Stream, has been charged with a Class 1 felony for cannabis trafficking.
The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Narcotics Team launched an investigation after being alerted by the U.S. Postal Service that it had intercepted a package containing 5,000 grams of cannabis addressed to Sudds, a sheriff’s news advisory said.

DuPage County Sheriff’s undercover detectives in cooperation with the postal service arrested the men late Monday evening.
Both men appeared in bond court Tuesday morning at the Wheaton Courthouse where it was further learned that Grassman allegedly had the large quantity of marijuana mailed to Illinois from Oregon.
Bail for Grassman was set at $200,000. Sudds’ bail was set at $50,000. Both men are currently being held in the DuPage County Jail.
The two men are due back in court on Feb. 2 in front of DuPage County Judge John Kinsella.
