Egg Hunts, Easter Events Planned In Glen Ellyn Park District

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Park District has planned a number of egg hunts and Easter-themed events for 2022. Easter falls on Sunday, April 17, this year, but these fun events will help you get into the holiday spirit early.

Adults-Only Egg Hunt

April 8 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Lake Ellyn Boathouse, 645 Lenox Rd.

This Easter egg hunt is strictly for adults, who are encouraged to bring baskets and flashlights to hunt for eggs filled with gift cards, candy and other grownup prizes. The event will include snacks and refreshments before the egg hunt kicks off.

Hopper Cottontail and Friends Hoppy Party

April 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ackerman SFC, 800 St. Charles Rd.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand for this kid-friendly event. The festivities include Easter-themed cookie decorating, spring-inspired arts and crafts and and an egg toss contest.

The cost to attend is $25 per child residents and $40 per child for non-residents.

Flashlight Egg Hunt

April 14 from 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Churchill Park, 240 Geneva Rd.

Kids ages 7 through 11 can explore Churchill Park to search for eggs stuffed with candy, toys and other goodies. Select eggs will contain a voucher for a grand prize Easter basket. Participants must bring their own baskets and flashlights for the event, which has check-in at 8:15 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for residents and $20 for non-residents.

Eggs-traordinary Egg Hunt

April 15 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. or from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.

Maryknoll Park, 845 Pershing Ave.

This Easter egg hunt is geared toward children who are six years old or younger. Kids must be accompanied by an adult to take part in the event, which also features a meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny. Guests should bring their own Easter baskets.

The cost to attend is $8 per child for residents and $12 per child for non-residents.
