Error Printed On May Water Bills
The printer mistakenly included the old water rate on the May statement.

You may have noticed a mistake in the last village water bill that went out May 1.
The final amount of the bill is correct but the printer mistakenly included the old water rate charge on the statement. On the left-hand side of the bill it states that the water rate used to factor the final charge is $6.04 per thousand gallons when it should reflect the new rate change, which is $6.34 per thousand gallons.
Larry Noller, interim finance director, said residents should not be concerned and that no one was overcharged or owes the village more money.

"The error by the print vendor was the rate listed for informational purposes, it showed the rates prior to May 1. It does not affect the actual amount of the bill, " explained Noller. Next month's bills will reflect the new rate Noller added.
