Power the Vote by attending the 6th District Congressional Candidate Forum on March 8, 2012, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn, the League of Women Voters of Wheaton and the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce.

The Candidate Forum will be held at Glencrest Junior High School, 725 Sheehan Avenue Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a half hour set aside to meet and greet the candidates. The candidate forum begins promptly at 7:00 p.m. and should last until 8:30 p.m.
The candidates invited include Democratic primary candidates Leslie Coolidge 345 Old Sutton Rd Barrington Hills, IL; Geoffrey Petzel 695 Windemere Ln, Lake Zurich, IL; and Maureen E. Yates 729 Indian Way Barrington, IL; as well as unchallenged Republican primary candidate Congressman Peter Roskam, P.O. Box 713, Wheaton, and Independent Khizar Jafri , 26W307 Geneva Road, Wheaton.

The format of the debate allows all of the candidates to answer each question as presented by a trained League moderator. The questions will come from the audience who will submit written questions to the moderator in accordance with League of Women Voter forum rules established and agreed to by the candidates in advance of the forum.
