The Wheaton-Glen Ellyn Branch of AAUW (AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMAN) will participate in the annual Eleanor Roosevelt Walk on Saturday, October 1, 2011. Members will walk the Prairie Path from Glen Ellyn to Wheaton. Donations collected will support the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund. Established in 1989, the Eleanor Roosevelt Fund honors an individual, project, organization, or institution for outstanding contributions to equity and education for women and girls. The award is given for a broad range of activities including classroom teaching, educational and research activities, legal and legislative work in equity for women and girls.
