Grace Lutheran Church Rally Day and Fall Worship Schedule Dates

    Sunday, September 11, 2011 the fall schedule begins for Grace Lutheran Church, 493 Forest Avenue in downtown Glen Ellyn.  The Christian Education Department is ready  for the 2011-2012 year with Rally Day and Sunday School at 9:00 A.M. and the Blessing of the School Backpacks at the 10:00 A.M. worship service.  There are two church services at Grace beginning on Sept. 11, 8:00  A.M. and 10:00 A.M. Communion will be served both times. 
    A special event is planned for Rally Day for the entire membership and guests at Grace.  A Ministry Fair will be held between the two services  as well as at the conclusion of all the last worship service.  This is an opportunity for the congregation to meet with all the committees, organizations, and opportunities Grace has to offer.  Each area will have a special food treat for everyone to enjoy while they are learning about what they can do for Grace. 
    Sunday, September 18, the Adult Education series begins.  Meeting in the Great Room on the second floor of the church, the topic for study is Confronting Death and will be co-led by Pastor Richard Likeness and Parish Nurse, Cathy Milleville.  This Bible Study is appropriate for high school youth and adults, regardless of age or health.  All are welcome.
