Explore Hands-On Learning Opportunities May 4 at the COD TEC Spotlight

Visit the state-of-the art labs in College of DuPage’s Technical Education Center and learn about education and career opportunities during the TEC Spotlight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, in the Technical Education Center on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is recommended, but not required.

Attendees can tour specialized labs, meet with COD faculty and explore careers and salaries in a variety of fields including architecture, horticulture, automotive, electronics and electromechanical technology, HVACR, interior design, manufacturing technology and welding.

The 178,000-sqaure foot LEED-certified Technical Education Center includes 31 classrooms, 16 state-of-the-art laboratories and features two windmills and four solar panels on its roof to provide students with hands-on study of emerging wind/solar energy technologies.

The College’s Business and Technology programs prepare students with skills needed for immediate success in an evolving job market. Faculty program coordinators work with businesses and industry professionals to maintain current and relevant curricula ensuring a career and skills focused environment for all learners.
